This place is amazing but do NOT order the lemon meringue matcha. This drink NEEDS to be removed from the menu. The acidity of the lemon + the milk curdled instantly and upset my stomach and had me sick and vomit. That said, other menu items are great and this should serve as a warning to the people. This isn’t a bad cafe… I just ordered wrong.
Loved coming here on a Sunday. Amazing food, service, and overall energy from bōm dough. It’s nice to see people around you enjoying time together off their phones. Definitely will be returning!
One of my go-to spots for simple, satisfying salads and good matcha lattes. Didn’t expect Bom Dough to expand so quickly, but here it is—their first new branch, right next to the Cambridgeside Mall. Historically, cafés in this area haven’t fared too well, but Bom Dough seems to be gaining traction after a slower start. Since this location is much closer to me than the original, I’ve been stopping by whenever I feel too lazy to make a healthy meal at home. I’m a huge fan of their salads—nothing creative or overcomplicated. Just a clean mix of arugula, tomatoes, avocado, and a seriously good mint-maple-lime dressing that ties it all together. Tried their Breakfast Gnocchi recently and was surprised. With poached eggs on top, it had the cozy vibe of a creamy shakshuka or a hearty tomato soup—comforting without feeling heavy. Also a big fan of their matcha lattes. Not sure what they do differently—maybe something with the syrup or the tea base—but flavors like Peach and Mother Earth were smooth, balanced, and satisfying.
Food is out of this world. Everytime I come to Massachusetts, I have to stop here. Everyone is very friendly, the place is very clean and chill. I highly recommend this place.
The food at this café was absolutely amazing, unique, flavorful, hearty, and beautifully presented. We felt like we were dining at a fine restaurant. While the overall price isn’t exactly cheap once you add coffee drinks, the value for the quality of food is excellent. I’d definitely love to come back again.
Really cute hidden gem cafe. The little buns are delicious, best ones are guava and the classic. The coffee was also so good. It is small inside, so hard to find a spot on the weekend.
I visited Boston in September and came across this cafe as I was staying in Cambridge. Oh man, the pao de quiejo was so good (and huge!), that I went back a second time just to get half a dozen to go. I recommend just getting the plain ones, even though the dulce de leche filled ones were not bad either. I also grabbed one of their breakfast sandwiches (not knowing that the bread would ALSO be pao de quiejo) so I was pleasantly surprised!
Brazilian Cafe place which I loved their sandwich concept! All their Sammie’s are based on a Pão de Queijo instead of a bread which I love it! And their Pão de queijo are pretty decent for a Bostonian one. I had their Good Pesto Brisket. Very flavorful, perfect amount of pesto and not overpowering, brisket was the perfect bite but all in all great combination with a side of Iced Dulce de Leche Latte with Oat Milk. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
I enjoy the brisket, crack chicken and good egg sandwiches today. The quality was fantastic and price point is very reasonable for the pressure that operators are up against with today’s inflation. Great job with the bread! Keep up the good work!
We LOVE bōm dough! We always bring out of town family members here. A two-person date is the best here, but there are a few tables to seat 4 and we also were able to push two tables together. Cute little bustling place. The food is always great and the drinks are unique. The strawberry jam latte is SO! GOOD! Thanks & hello from New Bedford 👋 Meals are usually $12-$18, plus a drink, it averages $20-30 per person. We also always get a waffle to share with everyone and try a new one each time 💞
